If you are looking for some recipe like this, I have a very easy and yummy recipe for you.


It takes about half an hour to make these rolls. 15 min to prepare, and 20 min to bake.


This recipe is made of almond powder, psyllium husk and walnuts. It is simple, yet it has natural sweet taste. It goes very well with melted butter very much.



As the main ingredient is almond powder, it is low-carb and ketogenic. Also this recipe is using Apple cider vinegar, which has benefit to your body.


The recipe for two people. Four small palm size rolls can be made with this recipe. If you want to eat more, please double or triple the amount of the ingredients.

This recipe is very healthy and has a lot of benefits for your body.


Here, I would like to introduce some of those benefits that you can gain eating these table rolls.

Low-carb

Almond powder does not have lots of carb compared with normal flour. Almond powder is one of the recommended ingredients for ketogenic diet as substitute of flour.


The comparison of the carb amount contained in 100g of each powder is as follows;

  • Net carbs.


Almost 80% of typical cake flour is carbs. As it does not have fiber, net carb stays the same. It is certainly not recommended for those who have some conditions with carbs.


On the other hand, almond powder has 21% total carbs. But, out of the 21%, 14% of it is fiber, which is making the net carb only 7%.


Just switching the powder from cake flour to almond powder can reduce huge amount of carb that you may intake.


Yet, it has calorie. You should not consume too much even if the food made out of almond powder is very good.


Anyway, it is very much recommended to keep one bag of almond powder and try to switch the ingredients that you are using cake flour.


Doing so will make you definitely reduce the amount of the carbs that you intake.

A lot of fiber

The psyllium husk used in this recipe contains a lot of fiber. Psyllium husk contains 8 gram of fiber in a table spoon, which is almost 10g. With that being said, 80% of the psyllium husk is fiber.


Fiber is normally not digested in your stomach and kept the form till your intestines. Reaching to intestines, it starts stimulating your guts and improve your digestive systems.


Yet, if you eat too much, nothing will do good. It is considered that you can eat psyllium husk up to 20 grams per day.


Anyway, you can easily add more fiber intake in your daily life incorporating psyllium husk in meals.

Ingredients are as follows;

  • Almond Podwer

  • Psyllium husk

  • Baking powder

  • Egg

  • Apple cider vinegar

  • Himalayan pink salt

  • Whole Earth (Sugar substitute)

  • Hot water

  • Walnut or Pecan

Let’s make the rolls!


1 Set the oven to 400F. Spread baking paper on the oven pan. Boil water.

2 Put almond powder, psyllium husk, baking powder, Sugar alternative, Himalayan salt in a big bowl and whisk well.



3 Put Egg, apple cider vinegar, and whisk more.



4 Add hot water little by little mixing. After poring all the water, mix thoroughly about three minutes.



5 Add nuts and mix well.

6 Cut the dough to four pieces and make rolls. Place them on the oven pan. As they get slightly bigger while being baked, it will be better to keep some space among the rolls.



7 When the oven temperature reaches 400F, put the pan in the oven.


8 Bake for 20 min, and take the pan out from the oven. Cool down and done!




As a ketogenic meal, you may want to add little more fat.

Then, butter goes perfect with this bread. Put plenty of butter. Bon Appetit!

  • Pot to boil water
  • Oven
  • Baking paper

Materials

  • 75 g Almond powder
  • 10 g Psyllium husk
  • 4 g Baking powder
  • 5 g Whole earth *Equivalent to 10g of sugar
  • 1.5 g Himalayan pink salt
  • 1 Egg
  • 5 ml Apple cider vinegar
  • 85 ml Hot water
  • 15 g Walnut or pecan Crush before use

Instructions

  • Set the oven to 400F. Spread the baking paper on the oven pan, Boil water.
  • Put almond powder, psyllium husk, baking powder, Himalayan salt and whisk.
  • Add egg and apple cider vinegar and whisk more..
  • Add hot water little by little mixing. After adding all the water, mix thoroughly for 3 minutes.
  • Add walnut or pecan and mix more.
  • Cut the dough to 4 pieces and make rolls and place them on the pan. Please make space among the rolls as they get bigger in the oven.
  • When oven temperature reaches 400F, put the pan in it.
  • Bake 20 min. After 20min, take the pan out and cool down.
